City of Austin Cohort
Texas CPM City of Austin Registration Information
The CPM City of Austin Cohort is designed exclusively for City of Austin employees selected by their departments. The cohort is offered through a partnership between the Texas Certified Public Manager© Program at Texas State University and the City of Austin. It is conducted in a hybrid format, with in-person sessions generally held at Austin Community College’s Rio Grande Campus and online sessions held via live Zoom.
Two full-day in-person and two half-day online sessions via live Zoom are required per track, and each track is completed within two months (except Track 7). Track 7 includes two online classroom sessions and independent study focused on completing the Capstone project. The program begins in September, and participants who complete all tracks consecutively can expect to graduate in 16 months or 21 months. The timeline depends on whether the participant chooses to complete Track 7 during the fall or spring semester. Please read the full CPM Track Completion policy carefully before registering to ensure you can commit to these expectations.
Participants in the City of Austin Cohort may be eligible to earn academic credit toward an MPA degree at Texas State University. For more information, please contact the CPM Director, Dr. Miha Vindis at mvindis@txstate.edu.
The cost per track is $695 and includes the materials for the track. Payment is due by the first day of the track. Payment may be made via credit card (preferred) or by an alternate method such as check or PO.
Once accepted to the program, enter the registration portal and select “City of Austin Cohort”
