CPM Round Rock Program Registration Information & Schedule

The CPM program located in Round Rock is conducted in a hybrid format (two days in-person and one day via live Zoom) and meets at the Texas State University Round Rock campus.

Three full-day classroom sessions are required per track (except Track 7) and three tracks are offered each calendar year. Students completing all tracks consecutively at the Round Rock location can expect to graduate in 2 ½ years. Tracks 1 through 6 can be completed in any order. Only Track 7 (capstone project) must be completed at the end. Please read the full CPM Track Completion policy carefully before registering to ensure you can commit to these expectations.

Participants with the availability and capacity may be allowed to concurrently attend tracks at the San Marcos location reducing the time required for graduation to at least 17 months.

The cost per track is $695 due by the first class day of the course. Payment may be made via credit card (preferred) or by an alternate method such as check or PO.

Texas State University students may be eligible to take CPM Tracks for academic credit (toward achieving both the CPM designation and degree credit concurrently). I was pleasantly surprised from the first class. The readings were not the textbook style lessons that you typically see in a classroom setting, but instead focused on modern leadership concepts and examples. Thanks to this program, I feel I have grown as a manager, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve their leadership skills, no matter what level they’re currently at.

Through the Texas CPM Program, I gained valuable insights into the challenges faced by municipal leadership and strategies for effectively addressing them. It was an excellent opportunity to learn from and network with other municipal professionals in the Central Texas area, and the lessons and relationships formed have benefited both me and the organizations I’ve served.
